Some love stories begin with a chance encounter. Others begin with a single message sent across the internet.

For James and PD, their story began on March 24, 2023, when they met online. What started as a text conversation quickly became a daily ritual. Day after day, they talked, shared their lives, laughed together, and discovered a tremendous love was growing between them.

Then came Friday, June 30, 2023. At 8:02 p.m., James drove up to PD’s apartment in Houston for the first time. After months of talking every day, the two finally met face-to-face. What could have been an ordinary summer evening became the beginning of a remarkable chapter in their lives.

Their love continued to deepen, and on December 20, 2025, the day they moved in together, PD asked James to marry him. It was a night filled with excitement, new beginnings, and a promise to build a life side by side.

Just a few days later, on Christmas Day 2025, James shared that promise again, this time in front of his family in Florida, asking PD to marry him.

Together, they began creating a home filled with love, laughter, and four-legged family members. On March 10, 2026, they adopted two dogs, Lucy and Desi, who quickly filled their home with joy, companionship, and plenty of adventures. Then, on June 1, 2026, their family grew once more when they welcomed Spirit, an 11-year-old cat from Galveston. Spirit’s arrival added another layer of warmth and love to the home.

From an online conversation to a first meeting, from engagement to a shared home, from two people to a family that includes Lucy, Desi, and Spirit, their story is a reminder love is often found in the moments we least expect.

And this chapter is only the beginning.
